Ingredients

diced onion

garlic cloves, minced

diced yellow, orange or red bell pepper
1 tbsp
dried thyme, crushed
good glut of ketchup

whole eggs
2 cups
of milk (I use low fat)

hamburger buns (mine are whole wheat)

grilled hamburgers

slices cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
In a large saute pan with a pat of butter, saute onions, garlic, pepper and thyme for a few minutes until softened.
Season with salt and pepper.
Crumble hamburgers into the mixture and add ketchup.
Stir and cook for a few minutes.
Meanwhile, combine eggs and milk in a large mixing bowl and whisk well.
Cube the buns and add it to the mixture, allow a few minutes for the bread to soak up the eggs and milk.
In a large casserole dish place half of the egg and bread mixture and spread evenly.
Then, layer half of the meat mixture and spread evenly.
Then, place six slices of cheese on top.
Repeat, just like a lasagna with the final step being the slices of cheese on top.
Bake at 375 for 20-30 minutes or until bubbling.
